North American Bullfrog

Post by Bob on Sun 20 Feb - 18:36

The Bullfrog is the largest of the North American frogs growing to a length of 4 to 8 inches. The Bullfrog has been distributed throughout most of the US, and can be found in almost any pond or swamp.Males sport an unusually large set of ears, and this is the best way to differentiate sex. It takes two years on average for a tadpole to mature, and the Bullfrog has an average lifespan of 8 to 10 years.
The Bullfrog is not a picky eater and will consume any living thing that will fit into its mouth.
